Botswana is known for having some of the best wilderness and wildlife areas in Africa. An estimated 38 percent of the country's area is mostly dedicated to national parks, resorts and game reserves. You will get lasting impressions of vast expanses of unpopulated wilderness stretching from horizon to horizon, and the sensation of enormous space.

Botswana is a prosperous and economically stable country. The country consists of some of the most unspoilt game reserves in Africa. With highlights such as the Moremi Game Reserve, Chobe National Park, the Kalahari Desert, the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, and the mostly favoured, the Okavango Delta. The place is a game lover's paradise, with popular tourist attractions.

To mention a few main tourist attractions to Botswana:

  • Chobe National Park is the third largest conservation area in Botswana. There are four main attractions which are the river front, Savute, Nogatsaa and Linyanti.
  • Tsodilo Hills are a unique place with an atmosphere of intrigue and mystery. The site is believed to be the first creation by the Bushmen who painted more than 3500 rock paintings.
  • Okavango Delta is one of the world’s greatest mysteries. Water in a desert! It is situated deep within the Kalahari Basin, and is often referred to as the ‘jewel’ of the Kalahari.
  • Moremi Game Reserve represents a staggering one-third of the Okavango Delta and boasts one of the biggest concentrations of wildlife in Africa.
  • Makgadikgadi Pans Game Reserve is a unique safari destination in Africa, and one of Botswana’s best. The pans are a salty desert with a plant life consisting of only a thin layer of blue-green algae.
